Crazy Bear cabin is located in a perfect location if you're looking to ski either Bear Summit or Snow Summit. Minutes from Get Boards equipment rental and Von's is even closer. Quick 5 min stop at Destination Big Bear office to check in, super friendly staff who answered every question then off to Crazy Bear cabin less than 5 min away. Cabin was super clean, recently renovated and in good working order. Internet (Spectrum) provided wifi at over 100Mbps in case Netflix or laptop use was a priority. Heaters worked great in every room. Kitchen was well equipped with what appeared to be a brand new very large refrigerator/freezer. Dishwater/utensils were also very new along with a very handy dishwasher. What would have made our stay better would have been garage access as it snowed 12-18 inches the 1st day and another 6-8 the 2nd day. Digging our van out was a chore. Fortunately cabin was equipped with good push broom and snow shovel, but it also meant spending hours digging a path to the van and the area around the van which the snow plows managed to re-fill as they plowed the streets. Parking in the garage would have saved digging out the van and would be a great place to keep a snow blower. The one other minor inconvenience was the fireplace did not have the key for gas starter so getting a fire going was a little challenging...but not a reason to not return. Overall, awesome cabin that is well equipped, super comfortable where our family created some awesome memories. Will return!
